The first call I got today, wishing me happy birthday was from a client, turned dear friend.
I heard, “ 52 huh? So you are a deck of cards. “
I loved this! So true. The Variety and opportunities that are present in my life today are just as abundant and illustraded as a deck of cards.
It is up to me how I play them.
It also symbolized for me that I am ready. The deck is complete. I am in my wholeness. I can spend my time being slow, steady, methodical and purposeful to ensure I get the most of this deck of cards.
I have spent the majority of my life in “ Survival Mode”.
Even after decades of self care and work, I realize how much of my behavior was still self sabotaging and how I still really have no clue on how to honor and respect myself and truly set boundaries.
Setting boundaries has its own set of struggles and can see why so many of us just decide to be agreeable. Or in my case, go above and beyond.
Living with boundaries is life 100% outside of your comfort zone with complete transparency and uncomfortable conversations ( I always avoided them !) are commonplace if not a DAILY activity!
Letting go, and being present not only for others but for yourself Daily, and thoroughly is a blessing and yet it is incredible hard work.
I am incredibly blessed, grateful and truly living in awe on this 7th Day of October in the year of 2022.
