For the past couple of years, I’ve been deeply immersed in mastering the things that make me a great coach: NLP, spiritual and philosophical theories, business strategies, and more. I’ve spent countless hours in deep concentration, fully embracing my introverted side. This beautiful journey has allowed me to dive into the depths of knowledge and self-discovery. For someone who dropped out of school after 8th grade, this has been heaven on earth for me. But now, I’m realizing it’s time to bring back a bit of that other persona—the one that thrives in social settings, full of energy for networking and fun.
My life has always been about going full throttle until I need to stop. Balance, to me, has always felt like bullshit. Then recently, I witnessed someone I love, almost die because of being a workaholic and a victim of the self-applied stress that comes with business ownership and personal responsibilities. I realized then that while isolation, consistency, and commitment have been helping me achieve mastery, I know from experience that having fun and bringing playfulness into your life and relationships are the keys to joy and freedom.
While isolation, consistency, and commitment allow me to enter a state of flow and achieve deep concentration, the absence of fun starts to weigh on me. I thrive when I connect with the people in my life on an adventurous and creative level and when I get to meet new connections.
So, even though I LOVE this new chapter, (I mean, who knew I was an introvert after spending the bulk of my life as the life of the party? ), I’m now ready to integrate the best of both worlds. I want to go out, play, and spend more time with family and friends. I’m excited about dancing, singing, and embarking on new adventures. It’s time to reclaim the playful, joyful parts of life I had put on hold. This is a big part of Soulful Prosperity, building lives and careers that nourish our souls!
Mastery is a beautiful goal to strive for, but it’s also essential to come up for air, laugh, dance, sing, and play. Cherish the moments with loved ones and create new memories with new friends. This is all part of this understanding of who I am and why I’m here.
As I travel this new phase, I’m reminded that life isn’t just about the grind. It’s about the joy we find in our relationships, our fun, and our love. So, here’s to mastery and play, to going full throttle and then stopping to breathe and enjoy the ride.
Sending love, light, and prosperity your way,
Jenn Maher
